Needs To Do It Now

New York legislation needs to get on their game. On July 10th New York Times explains how they dropped the ball on locking down on health insurance exchanges. By not getting the health care bill passed they are now at risk of having to cut back on the money they ask for in federal grants. The health insurance exchanges are supposed to help the 2 million uninsured people in New York required to buy health care. If New York doesn't get on it than the federal government will step in and handle it for them.

In my opinion I don’t think that is a bad idea. Why do we need other states having their own health care plan when everybody else has jumped on the ban wagon? The Republicans say “they didn’t want to give the democrats both gay marriage and “Obamacare” on the same day”. Well it looks like they are not going to have a choice but to give them both.

The author of the article is really talking to the Republicans. He’s letting them know that things aren’t going the way they should be because the legislation is dropping the ball on the most important thing. He’s arguing that if there is nothing wrong with New York trying to do there own thing but if they don’t stay on top of important bills than it really doesn’t matter what they do.

This has to do with U.S National Government because of the national health care reform. New York is saying that they can do this by themselves but they obviously cant if they are to big head not to lock down on the things they need. The National Government needs to just take thing into there own hands, so they can make sure that people in the country are getting the health care they need.
